You have rights!
It’s critical to know your rights to protect yourself and others against ICE, regardless of your citizenship status. Below are some immigrant rights resources for you to use (and even distribute in your community)!

From Organizing Power in Numbers:
“Clearly identifying what areas of your business operation are open to the public and what areas are private is a good practice. The Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right of people to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures in areas where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy. ICE officers cannot enter private areas of a workplace without permission or a judicial warrant signed by a judge that specifically grants access.”

Share these resources with your community!
We’ve been distributing immigrant rights resources in our region by door-to-door canvassing, local business outreach, and hosting know-your-rights trainings.
If you want to do some outreach in your community, you can use this demonstration video as an example! Made by our 2025 UC Merced Labor Summer Interns.
